King Abdullah Hussein of Jordan, a reported avid outdoorsman, spent at least the last 48 hours in and around Bend and next is heading out on a motorcycle trip through undisclosed parts of the region.

Having lived in Oregon for nearly 20 year he certainly would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful place to 'hang out'.
It's also not a big surprise that few people knew he was coming. It's a lot easier to protect someone the fewer people who know they are around.
