Las Vegas is one of my favorite destinations. A little over the top, but that's part of the fun! If you're in the US, check out Allegant Air for some great prices on airfare. They only fly to Las Vegas and Reno from smaller airports and you can often get a round trip ticket for a little over $100.

Sounds ok for a week ender maybe, but for a full holiday, I prefer a little more open space and fresh air.
